The Cool Tones

As a person with brown skin, I must say you learn really early on what colours make you look the best.

I've long preferred to stick with warm colours, in terms of clothing and photos, because it gives that whole "golden glowy goddess" vibe. But on a day where the sky is overcast and the sunlight is soft, I couldn't give up the opportunity to play around with the cooler side of the colour wheel.
So I decided to put together this "cool" (heh) look with a soft, pale pink sweater and navy (my go-to neutral), and if "The Cool Tones" can double as a great band name, then all the better for everyone.

I'm wearing:
Sneakers - Payless | Shorts - Thrift/DIY | Sweater - Shana | Shirt - The London Clothing Company

Bucket Hat

An idea for an outfit can be formed in many different ways: sometimes it's the way you're feeling, a colour you want to try, the way the weather is on that day. And sometimes it starts with a bucket hat.

Suburbia

Finding and shooting in new locations is one of the most fun exercises for me as a photographer, and sometimes the most unlikely places(like a suburban neighbourhood) can give you the best shots from the right angles.

Fresh Like Spring

The first time the Sun shows her face after a long time, and the flowers start poking out their heads to see the world again, the moment you know spring really has arrived. When that day comes, there's not a thing you should be doing other than enjoying the sunshine with some friends.
